Bridge Designer

Look up some pictures of bridges on the Internet.  What kinds of geometric figures do you see?  Which are most common?

Conduct a search to make and make a list of the longest bridges in the United States.  Which type of bridge is each of the bridges on the list (suspension, cable-stayed, or steel arch)?  What type of bridges are the longest bridges and why are they that type of construction?

Angles, Angles Everywhere!

Stuart Redler is an artist originally from Somerset, NJ.  Go to his Web site, http://www.stuartredler.com , and take a tour of his images.  Print off some of the images you like the best.  Using your protractor, measure as many angles as you can find and label the printed image.
