The MacKinnon Class of 2006 gave tribute to Earth Day by participating in subject related environmental projects.  The eighth grade mathematics classes chose a Web project from the CIESE organization at Steven's Institute of Technology.  In a class-wide effort students investigated their own water usage during an average day via the Down the Drain collaborative project.  By using USGS data, students compared America's water usage to other parts of the world and identified conservation techniques.
