April 22, 2007 marked the seventeeth anniversary of Earth Day.  In honor of this internationally recognized event the Class of 2007 participated in a grade wide webquest entitled Down The Drain.  Inspired by the online quest promoted by the CIESE organization at Steven's Institute of Technology, MacKinnon's eighth grade teachers addressed a very relevent environmental concern within their mathematics curriculum.  Click below to review MacKinnon's version of the project and to see the results of the students environmental and mathematical efforts.
